- Firstly, please follow Proboards' TOS. You can find the link to this at the bottom of any page.
- Please please please read through all of the information provided before coming to ask a question. Although I'm more than happy to answer any, it can be really frustrating to put so much work into providing as much information as possible, just to have people ignore it and ask you directly instead. Not to mention, I may not always be here to answer questions. So try to find your answer in the information first.
- I'm sure this goes without saying, but please respect everyone else in the roleplay. If you have an issue with someone, please come to me about it. Don't fight. However, I do encourage in character tension!
- Please don't take in character issues out of character. Just because a character doesn't get along with yours, doesn't mean the rper hates you. All characters can't get along all the time. That would be unrealistic. It's okay to have in character enemies.
- Please don't write one liners. I understand writer's block and that it happens, but at least try to fill in the space, even if it's just bullshitting your way through it. There is no word minimum. Just try to have a decently sized paragraph at least.
- This rp is in semi-liquid time. This means that a single day can last for weeks, however, your character cannot be posted in more than one place at once.
- No killing members of your clan, as well as no killing other characters in general without a discussion with both that rper and myself. Killing of NPC characters is allowed, however, don't kill for the sake of killing. It has to be necessary to the story/your character's story.
- When it comes to combat between two characters, be logical. Which character has more fighting experience? What is their style of fighting? Etc. Don't have your character evade every hit just because you don't want to lose the fight. Also, don't come in with characters who clearly shouldn't have any fighting experience, but give them a whole list of combat styles. It's out of character and let's be honest...it's a douchebag move. It's okay to have a character lose in a fight. It's a learning experience, and allows for character development. If two characters seem equally matched, I will flip a coin to see who will win the fight so that it's fair.
- Anyone can sign up to play one of the premade characters. All you have to do is send me a PM telling me what character you want to play, and give me a writing sample as that character to show you're able to portray said character.
- Please check the date and weather on the side navigation for the ic date, whether it's night or day, and what the weather will be like for the current day.
- That being said, the rp will generally take place at night, however, I may through daylight at you here and there. So make sure you check that tab every time skip.
- Please keep avatar images at an even widthxheight. And no smaller than 300x300. Signatures are optional, however, if you do use a signature photo or gif, make sure they are centered and have a height no larger than 400 pixels.
- The Inori Clan isn't the only clan out there. If you'd like to make your own clan, feel free to discuss it with me and we'll see what we can come up with and how to work it in! However, The Inori Clan is the only clan that accepts creatures of all kinds. Please keep that in mind.
- Please do not make extra threads. If a board has a thread made by me for it, then that is the thread you're meant to use. However, areas like "servant's Quarters", "Personal Chambers", etc. are where you can post threads yourself. In these two examples, you would make a room for your character, and that will be the thread you use whenever roleplaying in your character's bedroom.
- When posting, please tag anyone you're rping with at the bottom of your post on the righthand side, and include your location if you're in a general thread so that others posting in the same area know.
- PICTURES! No live action photos, and nothing super cartoony (i.e. western cartoons if you know what I'm talking about). Other than that, I don't care. It can be anime, or sg. I don't care, so long as either aren't too realistic or extremely cartoony, it's acceptable. Also, if you can help it, try to use at least one full body or mostly fully body picture in your profile so people can really see what they look like. If this isn't possible, then you'll have to describe what their appearance aside from their face looks like; but don't go for the same body type every single time if you do this. We don't want a bunch of characters who are exactly the same, right? Diversity is great! It keeps things interesting!
- There is no character limit. You can make as many characters as you'd like, so long as you're active with all of them. If I notice you're neglecting one or more of your characters, you'll get one warning. If it continues, then the character(s) you're being most active on will be placed on a forced hiatus until you show more activity on the one(s) you're neglecting. If you continue to neglect them still, then the newest characters will be the first to be eliminated.
- I'm not going to hound people to post constantly. I understand that your personal lives come first! So I hope everyone else understands this too. Work, school, and other responsibilities should always be first priority. So don't expect the roleplay to move incredibly fast. I certainly don't! However, if I notice people aren't posting at all, I may come talk to you privately about it. If you need to go on hiatus, that's okay! There will be a thread in the announcements section where you can post your hiatus for everyone to see.
- Once your profile is accepted, you may not edit it unless you have express permission from me, so, be sure you have everything you want to say about your character in their profile beforehand.
- For the Inori clan at least, the blood slaves aren't actually slaves. They all choose to be there, and are allowed to retire from being a blood slave at any time. But blood slaves aren't the only choice for food. Blood is also kept in wine bottles and in blood packet form. So it's not always necessary to feed from a blood slave. Blood slaves are well taken care of in the Inori clan, so, please keep that in mind.
- If there's a species you want to play, but it's not on the list, just shoot me a message and we'll talk it out! I'm always open to adding new ones.
These rules are subject to changes and additions at any point in time. Although I will likely announce when this happens, still please check regularly.
