Background: Ryuko is one of the first of his kind. Never human, and not born like most. He was created with magic and blood and darkness by the one known as "Mother", the true first vampire who died a very long time ago. She created three "batches" of four. Ryuko was from the second batch. Ryuko had always been very close to Mother. It seemed obvious to the rest that he was her favourite. This didn't sit well with the others, especially those like Vernon. Perhaps that's why Vernon seems to hate him so much...
They all lived in relative peace for a while, being treated as royalty (Ryuko himself was a celebrated warrior among his people), turning humans who proved worthy-well, the others turned those deemed worthy. To this day, Ryuko still hasn't turned a single person. But life was good, until the angels attacked. Over half of the originals were killed, including Mother, and Ryuko had lost the one person he had loved the most...
It was devastating, and for a while, he was lost. He needed family, he needed a family of his own, and so, he began to "collect" others, mostly those misunderstood or considered misfits, and eventually, he had himself a clan. He had created himself a family. One that he continues to build bigger and bigger everyday. He even eventually knew what it meant to be a parent; one night, about 500 years or so ago, he found a little vampire girl. Although she couldn't have been older than four at the time, she was wild with a blood rage unlike any he'd ever seen. It was tough, but he'd managed to bring the girl back to reality. She didn't seem to know who she was, or where she came from, so, Ryuko took her in, and gave her the name Takegawa Tsuki. She became his most cherished child.
Ryuko is a very peculiar man. To a point where he almost seems like he has a split personality. One moment he's carefree and playful, cheeky, suave, the next, he's serious, intimidating, and in command. He doesn't like to talk about his past. In fact, he'll outright refuse to talk about it, and prefers to just live in the now. He enjoys spending time outdoors and can be often found lounging about in a tree. Being as old as he is, he's learned countless skills in order to fill his time. He's generous, and loves every single member of his clan, even if a few may not feel the same way.
