Hunters
With so many different species, comes the option of hunters as well (although they're not really a species). Hunters are people, often scorned in some manner by supernatural creatures, who have taken it upon themselves to hunt down the supernatural and kill them. Though the mass majority of these people are humans (about 98% of hunters), a hunter does not necessarily have to be human. The odd supernatural creature here and there has been known to hunt down other supernaturals and kill them.
Some hunters only kill specific supernaturals (those who are evil/have done terrible things) and some hunters kill any supernatural creature they come across regardless of whether they're good or bad.
Because humans have no special abilities, they have found other ways around this. A serum derived from vampire blood known as "Vital X" gives hunters a omni-enhancement boost, though this only lasts for an hour at a time, and overuse of this serum can have some serious negative side effects on the user, as it takes a toll on the body. One should not exceed using the serum three to five times in a span of fourty-eight hours, and should wait a few hours between each dose within that time frame.
Though solo hunters are not unheard of, it's far more common to find hunters in pairs, or groups, as there's more strength and safety in numbers. If you run into one hunter, you can bet there is at least one other lurking around somewhere.
Hunters spend a great deal of time training and learning everything they can about supernatural species, and how to kill them. Though, even with many years of training, this does not necessarily mean you're impervious to death. Many don't live to see old age. Sufficed to say, the "profession" has a high mortality rate.
Despite what they do, Hunters work hard to not only keep their line of work a secret from the general public, but also to keep the reality of the existence of supernatural beings a secret from the general public as well.

FAQ
Q. I was just wondering if you could give examples of what kind of side effects Vital X has on humans? Also, how is it administered?
A. Sure! It's actually quite serious. Overuse (not overdose) will start with some minor internal bleeding, or bleeding from one or more orifice. Continued overuse of this serum will quickly lead to organ failure and more than likely death. It can be administered one of two ways; orally, or injected. Injection will be an immediate boost, whereas taking it orally may take anywhere from thirty seconds to a few minutes before it kicks in. However, with injection, as it's directly entering the blood stream, it tends to take more of a toll on the body, than taking it orally does. So, many tend to take this serum orally, if they can. Back to back use of the serum will cause seizures, convulsions, massive internal bleeding, and carries a high risk of death.
